How much do you charge?
We charge $65.00 for the call out fee. With that charge our technician will
come to your home and do a full diagnosis. Once the diagnosis is done,
the technician will use the national flat rate pricing guide to look up your
make, model, and problem. The he will give you a full quote for the total
job cost. The $65.00 call out fee will be included in that total figure and
the technician will give you an estimate showing all charges before
the work is started.
What if I choose not to have the work done?
You will be charged the $65.00 call out fee for the technician's time.
However, if you choose to purchase a replacement appliance from Cal's, we
will give 1/2 off the call out fee toward the purchase.
Do
you purchase used appliances?
No. However, we will find a good home for donated appliances and give you a
coupon for discounts on future purchases and service work.
Do you
deliver appliances purchased from Cal's?
Yes. We have a delivery questionnaire in the office that must be filled out
prior to delivery to ensure that our delivery man knows what to expect upon
arrival.
What
do you charge for delivery?
The cost of delivery is charged based on your location (how far we have to
travel) and if there is a need for more than one delivery man.
Is my appliance worth
repairing?
The Appliance Servicers Association recommends that if the repair is more
than 50% of replacement cost you should replace the unit. Replacement cost
can be found with a simple internet search, but you must compare "apples to
apples". Don't compare a side x side with ice and water to a basic unit with
no features.
Next: Have a factory trained technician from Cal's do an assessment of the
problem with your appliance so you can make an educated decision.
Do you repair small appliances such as VCR's, toasters, counter-top
microwaves, and etc.?
No. In most cases these small appliances can be replaced cheaper than we can
repair them.
Do you sell
appliances?
Yes. We sell reconditioned appliances that have an excellent warranty. Call
the store for specific models and prices.

How do we pay for your services - What methods of payment
do you accept?
We accept cash, check, and all major credit cards including AMEX, MasterCard, Visa, and Discover cards.
How much do you charge for repairs?
All of our technicians are nationally certified, tested and ranked by the Professional Service Association. Each of our technicians are ranked as
Master Technician, the highest available level of recognition for appliance service expertise.
A Service Call is charged on all calls to properly diagnose the issues related to your appliance failure. Unlike other service providers, we don’t charge by-the-hour for repairs but by- the-job based on the national flat rate pricing guide. At the time of diagnosis, if any parts are needed, we can tell you what the cost of the parts will be and the labor to install. We always get your approval for the total cost before we begin any repairs and we will give you an itemized receipt for the repairs to your appliance.
Also, all repairs come with our 90-Day Service Warranty, to insure your confidence in our service and repairs.
How do I set up an appointment?
Usually we can give you same day service - appointments can be set up via e-mail (service@calsappliances. com) or by telephone at 850.678.4838.
When we schedule an appointment for you we will give you a time frame (a target time) for our technician to arrive. The technician will call you with an update when he finishes with his prior call and is on the way to your home or business.
Do you sell appliances?
YES we do! We offer all major name brands, but gently used appliances. We also proudly offer a 90 Day Warranty on all of the appliances we sell. We can provide delivery and installation (at a small additional cost) to anywhere within our service area.
Do
I have to be home for you to service and repair my appliances?
No, it is not necessary for you to be home, but we must have a way to gain access to the property (a nearby relative, neighbor, or hidden key). Also, we need a way to reach you so that we can discuss the repair quote and gain your approval to complete the job. Additionally, a method of payment, whether a credit card on file at our office or a check or cash left at the home.
